The meter.me app will automatically send alerts if your meter.me equipment goes offline.
If you received an offline alert that means the meter.me equipment supporting one or more of your water system components and/or the meter.base gateway is offline and you will not be able to remotely monitor either your water system or control this component until the equipment is brought back online.
Here are some possible causes and basic troubleshooting steps:-
If your meter.base gateway is offline
Visit our article: How to Troubleshoot an offline meter.base
If your meter.mote or component is offline
- Check the last known battery level in the app.
- If the battery level was low before it went offline and the mote has a solar panel, check that the solar panel is receiving full sun
- Clean the solar panel if it is dirty so it will start charging again.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your offline alert please reach out to your installer. Alternatively, you can open a ticket for support at support@meter.me.
If you do not want to receive these alerts you can disable them from within the app:
-
Open the meter.me app
-
Select Actions (bottom right corner)
-
Under System Alerts, select “Offline alerts”
-
You will see a list of meter.me equipment that has offline alerts configured. The name should correlate to the name of the component the equipment supports.
-
Select the toggle to the right of the meter.me equipment name you wish to disable the alert for (e.g. Pump mote)
-
The toggle will switch to grey when the alert is disabled.
We are continually upgrading and improving meter.me and are confident that offline alerts will increase your ability to monitor and maintain your water system.
