UPDATE Milesight released v2.0.2 of the Toolbox app on Friday and has now resolved this issue. Please ignore the workaround below and ensure your app is up to date.
We want to let you know about an issue with the Milesight Toolbox app that affects installer functionality.
The latest update (v2.0.1) released December 23, 2024 is incompatible with the firmware version on the UC501 and UC502 motes, causing an inability to connect to the mote in the usual manner. The good news is that installation can continue thanks to a workaround for powering the motes on. Please refer to the picture below for instructions on the workaround.
If your Milesight Toolbox app has not updated to the latest version, you can continue to use the older version with full functionality. Updating the app to the latest v2.0.1 will introduce the problem.
We are actively working with Milesight to resolve this as quickly as possible. We’ll keep you informed and provide further updates as soon as we have more information!
Steps:
- Open the Milesight Toolbox App
- Click on the “Maintenance” button on the bottom right
- Click “Power ON”
