As of April 2024, meter.me is updating its user roles and permissions.
NEW Roles Overview:
- Installer: The installer role maintains all the permissions it had before, namely the ability to add devices to a water system. Installers cannot allow or deny sharing water system resource information or cancel an account.
- Owner: Multiple users on a system may be assigned an “owner” role. Users with an “owner” role can allow or deny sharing the water system resource information in locations where meter.me app is integrated with local fire agencies as well as cancel their water system account
- Manager: The manager role has all the same permissions as the owner, except that it cannot allow or deny sharing water system resource information or cancel an account
- Operator: This role caters specifically to users of systems that require access to remote pump or valve operations. This role is able to view and operate devices but not administrate the system.
- View-Only: This role can view the system and its components, generate CSV reports, and manage their own alerts. They cannot control or edit any part of the system.
- Any user assigned a User or Admin role before April 2024 will now be assigned the new View-Only role.
