The UC50X mote comes with data cables that must be connected to the sensor utilizing an included weatherproof terminal box instead of the modular plugs used on the M2 motes.
How to wire an analog 4-20mA sensor to the UC50X
- Use the data cable provided for interface 1
- Refer to the wire label for accurate identification, as wire colors may change over time.
- To establish a secure connection, strip the cable to expose at least 8mm of wire.
- Using the provided terminal box, connect the following wires from the mote to the sensor

- To connect a second sensor to the mote, connect the following wires:

- Close the terminal box by fitting the yellow gasket into the lid groove, place the lid, and add the screws, tightening to hand tightness.
- Seal the cable glands by tightening the nuts hand tight.
And that’s it! You have successfully wired your sensor to the UC50X mote!
How to wire a water meter to the UC50x
- Use the data cable provided for interface 2
- Using the provided terminal box, connect the following wires from the mote to the water meter

- Close the terminal box by fitting the yellow gasket into the lid groove, place the lid and add the screws tightening to hand tightness.
- Seal the cable glands by tightening the nuts hand tight.
