How to rename your system &/or component

Updating system name

Users with an “owner” role can update the name of their water system

From the mobile app:

1. Log in to the meter.me mobile app with your account
2. Select the system you want to rename
3. Select the menu icon in the upper left corner of the screen
4. Select System Settings
5. Select the Rename field to edit the system name
   • Select the Return button on your keyboard to save the new name

And that’s it! You have successfully updated the name of your system

From the web app:

1. Log in to the web app at web.meter.me
   a. From the Systems page, select the menu icon to the right of the system you want to rename
   b. Alternatively, you can access the menu within a system by selecting the menu icon to the right of the system info summary
2. Select Edit System
3. Adjust the System Name to your desired name
4. Select Save

And that’s it! You have successfully updated the name of your system

Updating component name

Users with an “owner” or “admin” role can update the name of an individual component.

From the mobile app:

1. Log in to the meter.me mobile app with your account
2. Select the system that has the component you want to rename
3. Select the component you want to rename
4. Select the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen
5. In the Name field, you can edit the component name per your preference
   • Be sure to select Return on your keyboard to update the text
6. Select Save

And that’s it! You have successfully updated the name of your component

From the web app:

1. Log in to the web app at web.meter.me
2. Select the system that has the component you want to rename
3. Select the component you want to rename
4. Select the menu icon in the upper right corner of the page
5. Select Edit
6. In the Name field, you can edit the component name per your preference
7. Select Save

And that’s it! You have successfully updated the name of your component
